Job Description
As an Assembly & Test Tech - Level 2 Here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in the assembly and testing of advanced technology products. Your expertise will ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance, contributing to the success of our operations.
You will report directly to our Operations Site Manager and you’ll work out of our Houston, TX location on an On-site work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the efficiency and quality of our assembly and testing processes, ensuring that we deliver reliable products to our customers. Your contributions will enhance our operational performance and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Perform hardware inspections on equipment manufactured or modified. Run hardware or software- based checks to verify functionality. Diagnose and replace failed system hardware
Continuously monitor and ensure compliance with internal procedures in safety, quality, delivery, cost floor space utilization and customer service
Interact with Affiliates and Projects personnel regarding facilities issues at the Factory. Pass along information to Project Leaders or other departments as appropriate.
Follow the rapid problem solving and root cause / corrective action processes to ensure that all technical issues and quality opportunities are resolved in a timely manner.
Provide Technical Support to resolve failures, anomalies, and abnormal situations for Series C Cabinet Test and Dell Station Load Operators. This is involved in troubleshooting, repair, problem escalation, or redefining procedures.
Eliminate, prevent, and enact countermeasures for all staged systems quality deficiencies for failed parts and replacement following the QN procedure.
Develop, implement, and support Standard Work for Regional Factory. Identify and prioritize various product lines and functions. Develop plan and format for Standard Work implementation. Solicit input from customers and team members for Standard work requirements. Develop standard work for new or revised products as they are released and optimized procedures and processes.
Meet with team members daily at the start and the end of the shift to ensure that necessary information is shared to ensure that priorities, exceptions, opportunities and critical production information is understood. Examples of topics include quality, workload capacity, safety, staffing problems, Continuous Improvement (CI) issues, and equipment or component, System Design Manual documentation problems
Receive, Good Issue, Pick and assist shipping by creating customer delivery orders and adding to invoice shipping log activity. Act as interface for the Center’s rental equipment inventory, log reservation and billing information perform software loads, track, maintain, and arrange shipping for this equipment.
Task
Cell Risk Assessments, COS, Safety Observations, Quality Process Defect, BIQ, Poke Yoke Control Plan, Standard Work Procedures, OTFP, OTTR, Direct labor OPE, 5S utilization, Hardware Torgue Specification
Control Automation testing, Hi Pot Testing, ESD testing. Hardware and Software Inspection. QMB part replacement.
SAP receive, pick, confirm, pack, create delivery. Additional task is inventory control for Server and Station. Log & Track spreadsheet. Add and include Dell warranty.
Engaging with Team Leads relevant to Project Management, Customer and Customer Service.
Rapid Problem Solving Tool
Trouble shooting, replacement parts and retest
Torque Tools, Multi-Meter, Control Automation Test, Hi Pot Test, ESD test equipment.
Review, Changes, New and Implement Standard Procedures in BPP.
Escalation Matrix Board to drive results Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost Tier 1 meeting
Verify CSA and UL approval. Cross-Training Matrix, Learning Hub activities, Training Certificate Training Plans.
