Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking an Assembler II for our San Jose, CA facility. The role focuses on mechanical box builds and hand soldering per IPC 610, supporting advanced microwave subsystems used in missiles, radar receivers, and tuners.

You will assemble complex subsystems, follow strict documentation, and participate in daily production meetings. Requirements include at least 2 years in mechanical/solder assembly, ability to use small tools and a microscope, and the ability to obtain

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years’ experience as a mechanical/solder assembler in a production environment.
  • Ability to use small hand tools such as tweezers and torque drivers and work under a microscope.
  • Ability to solder small surface mount and through hole parts; IPC 610 certification is a plus.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance.

  • Work in a production environment to provide mechanical assembly support on complex microwave subsystems; meet daily output goals.
  • Manually solder circuit card assemblies (SMT and through-hole) and apply conformal coating after soldering.
  • Follow production documentation and record rework details accurately.

Job description

Honeywell is seeking an Assembler II to work at our San Jose, CA facility. The Assembler’s responsibilities are focused in the area of mechanical box builds and hand soldering per IPC 610.The Assembler will support production activities within a group concentrating on advanced microwave subsystems for applications including missile front ends, radar receivers, wideband tuners and synthesized sources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work in a production environment to provide mechanical assembly support on complex microwave subsystems, meeting daily output goals established by your lead.
  • Work in a production environment to build circuit card assemblies. This includes manually soldering both surface mount and through-hole components and the application of conformal coating after soldering.
  • Carefully follow production documentation and processes, including keeping detailed records of rework performed.
  • Actively participate in daily production meetings.
Pay Transparency

The hourly range for this position is $26.44 - $33.17/hr. Please note that this compensation information serves as a general guideline. Must Have:
  • At least 2 years’ experience working as a mechanical/solder assembler in a production environment.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a “US Person” under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).
