Job summary

Hayward Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Production Coordinator to help schedule and prioritize daily production activities, monitor output against plan, and resolve bottlenecks to meet customer needs. You will support the Production Supervisor and drive safety compliance in a manufacturing setting.

In this role you will contribute to continuous improvement using data and lean tools, while mentoring peers and promoting teamwork to ensure on-time delivery and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years manufacturing experience with demonstrated project leadership.
• Strong written and verbal communication; lean and continuous improvement knowledge.

Position Overview

Responsible for coordination, prioritizing and enabling daily production activities. Manage daily/weekly output based on material/capacity availability, and proactively identify and resolve potential bottlenecks. Assist Production Supervisor in ensuring execution of production plan to meet customer requirements. Assist with meeting incentive metrics goals (safety, on-time delivery, efficiency, and productivity).

Major Tasks and Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily production activities to meet safety, quality, output and on-time delivery targets
• Identify material/capacity constraints and resolve issues, including chasing material shortages, expediting and prioritizing functions (receiving, inspection, mfg. engineering, etc.) and escalating issues
• Ensure that safe work practices are in use at all times
• Ensure that ERP transactions are completed to reflect physical material movement
• Achieve cycle count accuracy goals
• Ensure production activities are completed in accordance with design and process documentation
• Lead daily production meetings and assist with creating and publishing daily/weekly/monthly metrics
• Assist with training and coaching of production workforce
• Use data and continuous improvement tools to resolve internal and external corrective actions and drive process improvement

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Inventory Management software (Mapics experience a plus)
• Good analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of lean practices and continuous improvement tools
• Demonstrate the ability to lead by example and to provide guidance and mentoring to peers and to promote team work

Education and Experience

• High school diploma/GED
• 3 – 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment required with demonstrated project leadership responsibilities
