Job description

Assembler Junior – $18/hr | First Shift

Summary:
The Assembler Junior supports the manufacturing process in the small cable department by performing tasks such as cutting, pressing, grinding, and finishing. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently without compromising quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce parts according to specifications and tolerances

  • Read and follow instructions, engineering drawings, and procedures

  • Operate hand and power tools (grinders, saws, sanders, etc.)

  • Measure and inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality

  • Record production data and defects

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination

  • Mechanically inclined with problem-solving skills

  • Able to read and follow verbal/written instructions

  • Familiarity with OSHA and safety regulations

  • Team-oriented and reliable

Work Environment:

  • Manufacturing setting with exposure to machinery, noise, and temperature changes

  • Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 25 lbs

Schedule:

  • First shift hours

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED (on-the-job training may be accepted)

  • 1–3 years of manufacturing experience preferred
