Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assemble switchboards' electrical wiring per drawings and wiring schematics.
• Perform wiring and assembly for subassemblies and fixed assemblies in electrical control equipment.
• Use tools like wire strippers, crimpers, wire cutters, drills and pliers to assemble wiring.
• Maintain progress and communicate shortages; ensure safety and 5-S housekeeping.
• Lift up to 35 lbs with/without accommodation; work overtime as needed.
• Collaborate across functions and adapt to changing duties.

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Assembler IV (2nd Shift) at our El Paso, TX location! The core scheduled hours are 4:00pm-12:45am. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times/ The rate for this position is $20.66 per hour plus $1 per hour shift differential. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. What You’ll Do

The Assembler IV is responsible for a wide range of skills including wiring, assembling, fitting, and mounting subassemblies, components, and standard fixed assemblies in electrical control equipment. Perform assembly or wiring required for test preparation and final inspection. Perform all assignments within the acceptable quantity and perfect quality requirements in keeping with assigned functions.

• Perform the assigned function from oral and/or written instructions, drawings, and wiring schematics.
• Use various tools, such as wire strippers, crimpers, wire cutters, impact guns, drills, and pliers to assemble switchboards' electrical wiring.
• Handle materials following established procedures.
• Maintain expected progress of jobs in the area of assignment and communicate problem areas or parts shortages.
• Observe good housekeeping and safety procedures and keep equipment, tools, and work area clean and orderly by performing 5-S duties and continued dedication to raising the bar.
• Lift 35 lbs. with reasonable accommodation as required.
• Perform other functions and/or tasks as assigned
• Flexing into other functions of the business

Qualifications

Required:

• Must meet ONE of the following qualifications:
• 1 year of electrical wiring experience OR
• A completed technical degree in a related field OR
• Connectors I & II certifications AND 1 year of experience as an Assembler III

Preferred

• 2+ years of wiring experience
• 2+ years of assembly experience
