Job summary

Ergotron, Inc. is seeking an experienced assembler/trainer to lead the training and auditing of assembly floor staff. You will maintain training records, back up floor leads, perform assembly and packaging tasks, and support quality initiatives.

You will also update systems like Salesforce, work with MFG Engineers, and train others on assembly techniques, with a 2nd shift schedule (3:00 pm–11:30 pm) and applicable shift premium.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and enterprise software.
  • Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 4 years of assembly and/or training experience in manufacturing environment.
  • Good mechanical aptitude.
  • Good understanding of basic English.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and understand drawings and work instructions.
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Must be able to demonstrate comprehensive product assembly techniques and related process knowledge.
  • The skills and patience to be a process trainer to equivalent assemblers.
  • Basic computer skills to navigate, understand and populate MES system.
  • Ability to use hand, power, and pneumatic tools to produce mechanical assemblies.

Responsibilities

  • Update systems and programs for sales operations including Salesforce and others as appropriate to ensure customer data is well maintained and documented.
  • Additional duties as requested.
  • Supports site specific QMS initiatives for continuous process improvement.
  • The ability to perform the position responsibilities of Assembler I, II.
  • Support ISO Standards and QMS Documentation.
  • Perform regular process and quality audits of tools and equipment.
  • Work with MFG Engineers to develop knowledge and processes.
  • Initiate Red Light/V-Rework Process when issues arise.
  • Assemble electro-mechanical devices using hand powered tools.
  • Package and label products for shipment.
  • This position is a Trainer for the 2nd Shift. The hours are 3:00 pm -11:30 pm. This position is eligible for a shift premium.

Position Summary:
  • Responsible for training and auditing Assembly floor staff and electronically maintaining their training records and roster in V-Skills. The assembler III will also act as a backup to the floor lead and perform floor assembly and packaging functions.
