Job summary

Eaton's ES AMER PCS division in El Paso, TX is hiring an Assembler II - PRL4 for its facility at 1 Helen of Troy Plaza. The hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:45 pm, with a pay rate of $17.88 per hour. This position is eligible for a variable incentive program.

The Assembler II will perform assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and use power checking equipment to verify unit integrity, ensuring high quality and productivity on the assembly line.

Qualifications

• One year of assembly experience required.
• Residence within a 50-mile radius of the El Paso, TX facility is required.
• Eaton does not sponsor immigration visas for this position.

Responsibilities

• Perform assembly and testing with established procedures and draw on instructions or drawings.
• Handle materials according to established procedures and keep work area orderly.
• Maintain safety, housekeeping, and 5-S practices on the shop floor.
• Inspect finished products to ensure conformance with specifications.
• Communicate equipment or part shortages and support on-time progress.
• Coordinate with carriers and prepare finished goods for shipment.

Eaton's ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Assembler II - PRL4 at our El Paso facility located at 1 Helen of Troy Plaza. The hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:45 pm. What You'll Do

The Assembler II is responsible for a broad range of knowledge and skills in assembly, in operations identified as key to the business, where testing, troubleshooting, and strong understanding of the product and process are essential to deliver high-quality and productive results in our assembly line. Assemblers perform correct assembly and accurate testing. Use established power checking procedures and equipment to verify the electrical/mechanical integrity of units assembled. Perform all assignments within the acceptable quantity and perfect quality requirements in keeping within assigned functions.

• Perform the assigned function from oral and/or written instructions, drawings, or other manufacturing information.
• Handle materials in accordance with established procedures.
• Perform routine maintenance on all plant equipment in area of assignment as required.
• Maintain quality standards by inspecting and testing finished products to ensure conformance with specifications and codes.
• Maintain expected progress of jobs in area of assignment and communicate problem areas or parts shortages.
• Handle all finished products for shipment, call carriers and load materials into carrier's vehicles.
• Observe good housekeeping and safety procedures and keep equipment, tools and work area clean and orderly by performing 5-S duties and continued dedication to raising the bar.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• One year of Assembly experience.
• No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of the Eaton El Paso, TX facility (50-mile radius) will be considered for this position. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift driver certification
• Experience with supply chain systems (AS400, MAPICS)
• Experience in electrical equipment manufacturing and assembly (panelboards/switchboards preferred)
