Job summary

Dover Food Retail is seeking an Assembler II - Framing in Centerville, IA to join our Operations team. The role involves reading blueprints and schematics to assemble framing components and electrical elements, using drills, screwdrivers, and measuring tools to meet exact specifications.

Responsibilities include following job orders and BOMs, assembling sheet metal parts, and maintaining a clean, safe work area.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine component requirements.
  • Ability to read job orders and bill of materials.
  • Proficiency with handheld tools and measuring devices.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and problem-solving skills.

  • Read blueprints, text, or schematic drawings to determine location, size, capacity and type of components.
  • Read and comprehend a job order and bill of materials.
  • Assemble and mount electrical wiring circuits, coils, controls, and recording devices as required.
  • Fabricate and assemble sheet metal parts using drill, screwdriver and other required tools.
  • Identify power and hand tools used on the assigned product line.
  • Perform assembly-type functions using hand or power tools.
  • Utilize information on material gauging and dimensioning.
  • Read rulers, tape measures, metal squares, and other measuring instruments.
  • Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or fasteners.
  • Identify maintenance needs on equipment and tooling.
  • Work at different workstations as production needs require.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.

Responsibilities
  • Read blueprints, text, or schematic drawings to determine location, size, capacity and type of components such as tubing or piping needed to build equipment
  • Read and comprehend a job order and bill of materials
  • Assemble and mount electrical wiring circuits, coils, controls, and recording devices as required
  • Fabricate and assemble sheet metal parts using drill, screwdriver and other required tools
  • Identify power and hand tools used on the assigned product line
  • Perform assembly-type functions using hand or power tools
  • Utilize information on material gauging and dimensioning
  • Read rulers, tape measures, metal squares, and other measuring instruments
  • Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or fasteners
  • Identify maintenance needs on equipment and tooling
  • Work at different workstations as production needs require
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area
  • Use proper safety equipment and apparel for each operation on the product line or work cell

Physical Demands

  • Frequently — Standing, walking, pushing/pulling, reaching, gripping, pinching, neck rotation/extension and lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs
  • Constantly — Foot use, visual acuity (near/far) and lifting/carrying up to 10 lbs
