Job summary

ABB is seeking an Assembly role on 2nd shift reporting to the Production Supervisor. You will read technical diagrams, perform qualitative assembly, and pack products on the shop floor using basic tools. The position is onsite and includes shift differential compensation where applicable.

This role emphasizes adherence to procedures, maintaining a clean workspace, and contributing to overall production targets with attention to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred.
• 0 years of manufacturing/warehouse experience required.
• Basic computer skills required; familiarity with measurement tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct all types of assembly work to produce semi-finished or final products/panels, including packing when integrated with production lines.
• Perform work manually or using light hand tools.
• Carry out regular quality testing as part of the production process.
• Operate within standard operating procedures and maintain a clean work area.
• Read and interpret technical diagrams/instructions for assembly of products.

This position reports to: Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift __ Assembler II

Your role and responsibilities (Mandatory)

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the unit in achieving the set production targets by adhering to the systems and processes. Each day, you will use machinery and equipment on the shop floor. You will also showcase your expertise by reading and interpreting the technical diagrams/instructions for assembly of products/systems/panels.

Accountability

• Conducting all types of assembly work to produce semi-finished or final products/systems/panels, including the packing where integrated with production lines.


• Performing work manually or by using light hand tools.


• Carrying out regular quality testing as part of a defined production process.


• Operating within standard operating procedures and maintaining a clean work area.

Qualification

• High Diploma or GED required.


• Technical Certification preferred.

• Knowledge of tools and measurement understanding (preferred).


• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40-50 lbs.
