Job summary

ABB Inc. in Senatobia, Mississippi is seeking an Assembler II for the 2nd shift to support production targets. You will read and interpret technical diagrams and assemble products on the shop floor using light hand tools, with a focus on quality and efficiency.

The role is onsite, with shift differential where applicable. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and the ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40–50 lbs. No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a variety of assembly work to produce semi-finished or final products/systems/panels, including packing where integrated with production lines.
• Perform work manually or by using light hand tools.
• Carry out regular quality testing as part of a defined production process.
• Operate within standard operating procedures and maintain a clean work area.

Assembler II

Your role and responsibilities (Mandatory)

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the unit in achieving the set production targets by adhering to the systems and processes. Each day, you will use machinery and equipment on the shop floor. You will also showcase your expertise by reading and interpreting the technical diagrams/instructions for assembly of products/systems/panels.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Conducting all types of assembly work to produce semi-finished or final products/systems/panels, including the packing where integrated with production lines.
• Performing work manually or by using light hand tools.
• Carrying out regular quality testing as part of a defined production process.
• Operating within standard operating procedures and maintaining a clean work area.
