Job summary

A-dec is seeking an Assembler II to perform both routine and semi-routine assembly tasks, including sub-assemblies, final product assembly, and packaging. The role includes Water Spider duties to support workflow, and requires following safety guidelines and quality standards.

You will build and test products, interpret SWADs, and work with manufacturing engineers. Candidates typically have 1–2 years of manufacturing experience and basic math, tools, and English communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Reads, writes and communicates in English with ability to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Able to perform basic math calculations.
  • Troubleshoots problems when necessary.
  • Operates required hand tools and fixtures.
  • Interprets standard work assembly drawings (SWAD), production orders and quality checklists.

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine assembly tasks using SWADs; assembles electrical and mechanical components.
  • Packages products while maintaining quality and productivity standards.
  • Supports flow of materials as Water Spider (inventory movement).
  • Builds final product and collaborates with manufacturing engineers.
  • Operates tools and testing equipment with PPE; follows safety guidelines.
  • Follows work and test instructions; may troubleshoot and repair assemblies as needed.
  • Maintains safety, quality, and productivity standards; may train less experienced assemblers.
