Job summary

The Toro Company is hiring an Assembler II for our Lake Mills, IA manufacturing team. You will build machinery and sub-assemblies using hand and power tools, read blueprints, and ensure components fit and function to spec.

This role requires basic mechanical skills, SAP knowledge, and the ability to train others on assembly. We offer a day shift with overtime as needed and a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, retirement matching, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 18–36 months of related experience in mechanical assembly or repair.
• Basic mechanical skills and aptitude with tools (wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers).
• Knowledge of SAP and ability to use the system.
• Ability to read instructions and perform routine calculations.
• Able to train others on assembly.
• Ability to test and troubleshoot.

Responsibilities

• Read information from blueprints, drawings, production records, written instructions, technical documents, etc.
• Fit, position, and fasten components to build machinery or sub-assemblies of machinery using vises, clamps, wrenches, air-powered tools, pliers, etc.
• Handle components and completed pieces of equipment. This includes operating equipment to move it and check its functions by using steering wheels, control levers, knobs, buttons, etc. while observing and evaluating equipment functions.
• Use a computer to check the location, inventory, and routing of parts.
• Record information electronically.
• Consistently meets or exceeds expectations for Safety, Quality, Productivity, Performance, and Attendance metrics.
• Give input on line process, BOM structure and new product introduction.
