Job summary

Eaton in Duncan, SC is seeking an Assembler II on 1st Shift to perform assembly and verification of electrical components. Core hours are 5:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Overtime may be required. The hourly rate is $20.70 per hour.

Responsibilities include following instructions, verifying materials, labeling, testing assemblies, and using hand tools. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and be within 50 miles of Pinckneyville IL; sponsorship and relocation are not offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Eaton will not sponsor CPT/OPT/STEM OPT or other visa programs.
• No relocation benefits; candidates must reside within 50 miles of the Pinckneyville IL facility; military exception applies.

Responsibilities

• Receive verbal and written instructions from the Supervisor and/or Lead.
• Verify incoming inventory per packing list and work order, check material for damages, or non-conformance, resolve discrepancies and store, stage or modify product.
• Print and verify product labels and carton labels.
• Test manually or electronically the component parts or completed assembly for proper orientation and adjust if required.
• Modify and assemble electrical components.
• Utilize a variety of manual and air powered hand tools.
• Perform basic computer data entry.
• Read and follow basic drawings/schematics for proper modification of component parts.
• Maintain quality workmanship.
• Observe safety procedures, report unsafe acts and maintain clean and orderly work area.
• Perform work of equal or lower classification as needed.
• Adhere to all safety policies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED (General Education Degree) from an accredited institution.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous forklift experience.
• A minimum of ONE(1) year of assembly experience.
