Summary

The Mechanical Assembler will assemble components, perform functional testing, and support production schedules with minimal supervision. The role provides informal guidance to less experienced teammates and requires proficiency in mechanical assembly, testing equipment, and safety practices.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble components per assembly drawings and bill of material.
  • Perform functional testing on assemblies and verify customer/department criteria.
  • Operate test equipment in compliance with engineering standards.
  • Calibrate and maintain assembly tools and test equipment.
  • Complete required documentation and support continuous improvement and HSSE projects.
  • Assist with mechanical units and control system assembly as defined by engineering procedures.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
  • Maintain regular attendance to meet production and business needs.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years of mechanical assembly experience.
  • Good mechanical background with knowledge of hand, power tools, and assembly techniques.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and material-moving equipment safely.
  • Basic math, PC skills, and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, drawings, and engineering specifications.
  • Ability to work independently, in a team, and thrive in fast‑paced, noisy environments.
  • Ability to work both inside and outside, in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
  • Regularly lift, push, pull, and move up to 30 lbs; frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
Desired Characteristics
  • 3+ years of instrumentation and tubing experience.
  • Experience with offshore drilling equipment, including BOP and surface control.
  • Ability to read hydraulic schematics and engineering drawings.
  • Strong oral and written communication, work ethic, and adherence to processes and policies.
  • Experience with Oracle or SAP.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy with numbers, and sense of urgency.
Other Information
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis without employer sponsorship.
  • No relocation assistance.
  • Work schedule: 6:30AM – 3:00PM, Monday through Friday (including weekday and weekend overtime as required).
  • Location: Odessa, TX.
