Cambro Manufacturing Company is seeking an Assembler II to perform duties similar to Assembler I with additional training and responsibilities in a fast-paced foodservice equipment environment. The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to safety standards, and precision in assembly tasks.

You will read schedules, assemble components, document activities, and ensure quality through consistent work. This position requires flexibility for shifts and strong reliability to support production goals.

Qualifications

  • Able to perform basic arithmetic and measurements.

WORK SHIFT: Third Shift (United States of America)

JOB DESCRIPTION: Assembler II will perform job duties listed for Assembler I but has additional training / duties listed in Essential Job Functions.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Capable on the job trainer for machines and assembly cells
  • Trained as back up for Area Lead
  • Trained as back up for Material Handler
  • Maintains housekeeping standards at all times.
  • Performs sanding, polishing, cleaning, assembly and packing job tasks as assigned.
  • Flexible to work on all packing/assembly operations including but not limited to Camshelving, Bus Box, Coldfest, All Structural Web items, and Dishrack.
  • Operate necessary assembly equipment with proper training.
  • Required to read and follow assembly schedule, write tickets and make labels
  • Maintain reliable and consistent attendance, including being punctual, and dependable in order to meet the needs of the department and the organization.
  • Execute each essential duty satisfactorily in order to perform job successfully.
  • Follows all safety procedures required in work area, wears PPE as needed, attends all safety meetings, and reports safety issues regarding equipment or unsafe/hazardous conditions.
  • Performs effectively as a team member, able to work well with others, open to receive and give feedback, and treats everyone with respect.
  • Takes ownership of own work and behavior, accepts accountability for own actions, encourages solutions, and communicates status of work/projects.
  • Follow all department quality standards/criteria.
  • Raise concerns and issues to immediate manager.
  • Able to understand and demonstrate Cambro company culture, display company core values (Safety, Quality, Respect, and Service).
  • Understands department’s key performance indicators and contributes to achieve these goals both individually and as a team.
  • Other duties as needed or required.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed, remain flexible and open to possible schedule changes in order to meet business needs.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Applicable work experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Must be a good team player, self-motivated and open-minded.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision, meet and maintain high quality work standards, and adapt quickly to new projects/assignments.
  • Must be able to work any shift as needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Walking, standing, bending at the neck, bending at the waist, squatting, climbing, kneeling, crawling, twisting at the neck, repetitive use of hands, simple grasping, power grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling, reaching above and below the shoulder, carrying/lifting up to 50 lbs.

  • Exposure to excessive noise
  • Exposure to dust, gas, fumes or chemicals
PPE REQUIREMENTS

Safety glasses Steel-toe slip-resistant shoes Hearing protection (e.g. ear plugs, ear muffs) Face shields Face covering (mask) in accordance with company policy.

Mfg Assembler COMPENSATION RANGE: $18.58- $18.58 Salary may vary based on experience.
