UFP Industries in California is seeking an Assembler II to fabricate component parts and assemble finished products in accordance with customer specifications. You will secure and maintain correct parts and supplies such as plates, nails, staples, and fasteners to support production.

The role requires a focus on safety, a clean and organized workspace, and accurate records. Prior assembly experience is beneficial, with a preference for a high school diploma or GED and basic math skills.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Experience assembling components or specialty products is preferred (6 months minimum).
• Working knowledge of basic math is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Completes work area setup.
• Fits parts together according to prescribed methods and quality standards.
• Operates presses and machinery as required to complete the assembly.
• Stacks finished products and, if required, covers, labels and bands components.
• Keeps work area safe, clean and organized; ensures equipment safety.
• Completes pre-shift equipment inspections and reports issues.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
• Logs TPM paperwork when required.
• Maintains production records as required.
• Inspects materials and finished products for standards compliance.
• Performs duties per safety and quality procedures; participates in safety/CI programs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Assembler II is responsible for fabricating component parts or assembling the finished product according to the customer's specifications. Secures and maintains correct component parts and supplies required for the operation including plates, nails, staples, fasteners, etc.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Completes work area setup


• Fits parts together in accordance with the prescribed manner and in accordance with quality standards


• Operates presses and machinery in addition to hand tools as required to complete the assembly process


• Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures, and if required, may cover, label and band components/finished product


• Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate.


• Completes pre-shift/startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns


• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment


• Provides basic TPM to equipment and completes TPM paperwork when required


• Maintains production records as required


• Checks materials and finished products to ensure compliance with standards


• Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards


• Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings


• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required


• A minimum of 6 months of experience assembling components or specialty products is required; 1 year of experience or more is preferred


• Working knowledge of basic math preferred


• Must be at least 18 years of age
