Job summary

Universal Instruments is seeking an assembler to construct basic parts and sub-assemblies in a clean, climate-controlled environment. You will follow assembly procedures, utilize hand tools, and document results.

The role involves reading blueprints, basic testing of sub-assemblies, and contributing to quality procedures. Excellent work ethic and clear communication are expected in this on-site position with robust benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 1–3 years of relative experience.
• Experience with tools such as allen wrenches, ratchet wrenches, measuring tools, torque wrenches, scales, meters, and gauges.
• Notable experience reading technical drawings, blueprints and/or schematics.
• Technical aptitude for database navigation, information management and record keeping.
• Reads, writes and communicates effectively via email and documentation.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Assemble parts according to assembly procedures, process sheets, and/or other relevant documentation.
• Utilize hand tools including screwdrivers, torque drivers and assembly aids.
• May perform intermediate level testing of sub-assemblies prior to final assembly.
• Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 1-3 years of relative experience.
• Experience and aptitude with tools such as allen wrenches, ratchet wrenches, measuring tools, torque wrenches, scales, meters, and gauges.
• Notable experience working with technical drawings, blueprints and/or schematics.
• Technical aptitude for database navigation, information management and record keeping.
• Reads, writes and communicates effectively via email, documentation and with colleagues.
• Dependable and possesses an excellent work ethic.

Physical Demands:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to access and manipulate various objects and tools.
