Job summary

Backer Hotwatt, Inc. seeks an Assembler I in Danvers, MA. You will follow oral and written work instructions and drawings to assemble parts, operate tools and machinery, and ensure quality standards throughout each shift.

This full-time, non-exempt position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement. We welcome applicants with a high school diploma; previous assembly or manufacturing experience is a plus but not required, with on-the-job training provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience in assembly or manufacturing preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and assembly instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and quality with a willingness to learn and follow instructions closely.
• Able to safely use basic hand tools, power tools, and machinery.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and follow assembly instructions, blueprints, diagrams, and other specifications to ensure accurate assembly of parts.
• Perform assembly tasks using hand tools, power tools, and machinery according to established procedures and guidelines.
• Enforce quality control at the workstation by inspecting components prior to assembling, inspect 1st piece and seek sign off from area Group Leader to ensure they meet quality standards before proceeding.
• Record and report any defects or issues to the area supervisor.
• At the end of every workday, clean the work area, maintain tools and equipment, to ensure proper functionality and safety.
• Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and other departments to improve processes, resolve issues, and achieve production goals.
• Adhere to safety protocols, guidelines, and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for oneself and others.
• Complete production and quality documentation accurately and timely as required.
