Job summary

UFP Industries in Delano Township, PA is seeking an Assembly I to fabricate component parts and assemble finished products per specifications. You will secure parts and supplies and maintain an organized, safe work area.

This entry-level role requires basic math, the ability to read instructions, and a willingness to comply with safety and quality procedures. 18+ years old; 6 months assembly experience preferred; high school diploma/GED not required but preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
  • 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Completes work area setup.
  • Fits parts together per instructions and quality standards.
  • Operates hand tools to complete the assembly process.
  • Stacks completed products and may cover, label, and band components.
  • Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized; equipment safe to operate.
  • Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports issues.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
  • Maintains production records as required.
  • Checks materials and finished products for compliance with standards.
  • Performs duties per safety and quality procedures, rules and standards.
  • Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
