Job summary

Atlas Copco Group is seeking an on-site assembler in Rock Hill, SC to join a dynamic team. You will perform mechanical and electrical assemblies for air compressors, generators, pumps, and medical equipment, following work instructions and safety rules.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and meeting takt time while delivering First Time Right results. We value a hands-on attitude, basic computer skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with the Line Lead.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience in mechanical/electrical assembly.
  • Knowledge of assembly/testing of air compressors, generators, pumps, or medical equipment is a plus.
  • Experience with pneumatic/DC tools and alignment/assembly equipment.
  • Basic computer operation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble products following work instructions to meet safety and quality standards.
  • Maintain 5S and promote a clean, organized workspace.
  • Meet takt time and complete tasks within specified time.
  • Collaborate with Line Lead or Supervisor when help is needed.
  • Use only correct tools identified for the job; assist with rework/repair when needed.

Job description

As an assembler, your mission is to perform assembly of products by following the process to ensureSafety, Quality, and Takt time.


Safety


  • Follow all applicable safety rules and regulations of the organization.

  • Report risk observations, near misses, and incidents on time.

  • Use all necessary PPE required for the assigned job.

  • Contribute suggestions for improving overall safety.


Quality


  • Perform all tasks with a “First Time Right” mindset.

  • Use work instructions to perform mechanical and/or electrical assemblies for products like compressors, generators, pumps, or medical equipment.

  • Follow all quality checkpoints before sending the machine to the next stage.

  • Ask for help when needed from the Line Lead or Supervisor.

  • Use only the correct tools identified for the job.

  • Support 5S initiatives to keep the workplace neat, clean, and safe.

  • Maintain discipline on the line (breaks, rules, rework, etc.).


Delivery


  • Complete tasks within the specified time.

  • Support rework and repair when needed.


Cost


  • Ensure First Time Right to eliminate rework or scrap.

  • Respect and improve standard assembly time via Kaizen cards.

  • Experience with pneumatic/DC tools and alignment/assembly equipment.

  • Basic computer operation skills.
