Location & Compensation

Primary location: Carson, California. Relocation offered. Employment status: Full-Time. Travel: None. Salary range: $20.00 per hour (based on location, skills, experience, and other factors). Non-compete: [[req_noncompete]].

About the Role

This is an entry‑level position under the direction of the Production Supervisor, responsible for assembly of high‑quality Architectural Systems (Standard, Adaptive, and/or Lighting) in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities
  • Perform transactions in Shop-Trak; providing updates status on projects, material moves, and scrap for all assembly & packing operations.
  • Collect parts and supplies for assembly and packing processes; conduct inventory of tools, parts, and supplies and resupply as needed.
  • Use various hand tooling while performing assembly and packing operations efficiently in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
  • Work with peers to identify product defects and report necessary nonconformances to Senior Production Associate, Supervisor, and/or Quality Inspector.
  • Work with peers to perform reworks/repairs in accordance with industry best practices and/or engineering instructions.
  • Work with peers to coordinate movement of assembled parts and/or products to the next step operation.
  • Prepare, assemble, package, and label completed projects for shipping.
  • Unload, receive, and store raw materials and supplies.
  • Complete work as required to meet production and schedule requirements.
  • Follow safety protocols and wear personal protective equipment as required.
  • Maintain equipment and work areas; clean and perform basic repairs as needed.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications
  • Possess basic arithmetic skills.
  • Possess knowledge of personal computer skills.
  • Communication and people skills; team player willing to learn.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment (ability to wear required PPE, work in a dusty, hot, non‑climate‑controlled environment; with stairs, frequent walking, standing and occasional lifting of material).
  • Ability to work off‑shift hours in support of plant initiatives.
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in core production roles within 90 days of hire.
Physical and Mental Demands
  • Regularly required to talk or hear.
  • Regularly stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Regularly use hand‑eye coordination, grasp, manipulate, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive motions.
  • Frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds using mechanical equipment.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must work in various weather and temperature conditions, including extreme heat, humidity and cold.
Work Environment
  • Office Environment – operating in a professional office setting with standard office equipment; no PPE required.
  • Plant Environment – operating in a manufacturing setting with potential exposure to extreme temperatures, uneven surfaces, loud noises, and dust; required PPE such as hard hats, safety glasses, earplugs, steel‑toe boots, and fall protection.
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or GED (preferred).
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
Certificates, Licences, Registrations
  • Cal OSHA 10 (a plus).
  • OSHA Forklift Certification (a plus).CPR & First Aid Certification (a plus).
