Job summary

The Assembler I at Generac is responsible for performing assembly work to manufacture products to quality and on time. You will follow work instructions, validate materials, and ensure PPE and safety rules are followed while building products per specification.

You may cross-train in multiple assembly areas, support clean-up and housekeeping, and participate in team meetings to improve processes. The role requires focus on repetitive tasks and adherence to standards in a manufacturing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1 year of complex assembly or related experience for advancement paths
• Ability to perform highly repetitive assembly tasks
• Willingness to cross-train and flex to other assembly areas as needed

Responsibilities

• Uses work instructions and schematics to perform assembly following safety and quality standards.
• Cross trains in multiple assembly areas and flexes to other departments as needed.
• Develops understanding of assembled products and their business impact.
• Maintains clean work area and participates in team meetings to share information.
• Resolves problems with assistance from peers or supervisors and provides basic training on standard work.
