Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Indiana is seeking an operations-focused associate to support engine components manufacturing. You will use Plex, perform tool-assisted assembly, inspect parts, and ensure quality prior to shipping.

Responsibilities

  • Use Plex system to determine product and procedure accuracy.
  • Operate pneumatic tools (grinders, air ratchet, impact gun, rivet gun).
  • Steam clean parts to remove dirt and chips.
  • Dip parts into rust remover.
  • Oil parts prior to packaging.
  • Final inspection of parts.
  • Band parts and prepare for shipping.

Responsibilities:
  • Utilize Plex system to determine product and procedure accuracy

Successful candidate will be able to demonstrate these skillsets:

  • Blueprint reading experience
  • Caliper and other measuring tool reading
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work as part of a team and undergo cross-training
  • Effective communications skills

Summary Pay Range:

$18.80 - $24.40
