Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. in Milwaukee is seeking an Assembler I to fabricate component parts and assemble finished products according to customer specifications. You will secure parts, follow instructions, and use hand tools safely in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Basic math skills and attention to detail are valued, with at least 18 years old and 6 months of preferred manufacturing experience. The company is an Equal Opportunity Employer offering on-site work in a stable metals/wood products

Qualifications

High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience preferred.
Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

Completes work area setup.
Fits parts together in accordance with instructions and quality standards.
Operates hand tools to complete the assembly process.
Stacks completed products and may cover, label, and band components as needed.
Keeps work area safe, clean and organized; ensures equipment is safe to operate.
Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports problems.
Maintains production records as required.
Checks materials and finished products for standards compliance.
Follows established security and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.
Performs other duties as assigned.
