SEKISUI Aerospace in Sumner, WA, is seeking an Assembler I for 1st shift to join our manufacturing team. The role involves finishing assembly on a moving line or bench, using hand tools, adhesives and jigs to produce aerospace composite parts.

You will work with a team in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment, performing quality-focused assembly tasks, with attention to detail and adherence to takt time. Hiring is for full-time, non-exempt positions.

Qualifications

• Fine hand motor skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skill both written and verbal.
• Self- motivated and quick learner.
• Basic math skills.
• Understanding of process specifications.
• Understanding of technology with the ability to learn new platforms and systems.
• One year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow job traveler instructions to assemble parts using small hand tools, bonding adhesives and assembly jigs.
• Hand wraps insulation blankets, using utility knives, foam insulation, and insulation tape.
• Performs light sanding and abrading of composite, plastic, and some metal components.
• May perform some light riveting using rivet squeezes and pop rivet guns.
