Job summary

Eaton's ES GEIS BLD division is seeking an Assembler I (2nd shift) - Packing at our Reno, NV facility. The position offers an hourly rate of $20.47 plus a $0.50 shift differential. Core hours are 2:45 PM to 11:15 PM, with overtime possible.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand for extended periods on a manufacturing floor.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally more with help.
• Exposure to a high-noise environment; hearing protection may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts via simple bench processes using bolts, screws, clips and related fasteners.
• Follow models, samples, or diagrams under close supervision.
• Pick, pack and pull orders accurately and efficiently.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise; maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Support LEAN initiatives and 5S throughout shop floor and office areas.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.

Eaton's ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Assembler I (2nd shift) - Packing at our Reno, NV facility! The hourly rate for this position is $20.47 + .50 shift differential per hour.

The core hours are 2:45PM - 11:15PM. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times.

What you'll do:

• Perform simple repetitive bench assembly of parts and components.
• Use bolts, screws, clips, and other fastening devices.
• Work under close supervision and may work from models, samples, or simple diagrams.
• Pick, pack, and pull orders in an efficient and accurate manner.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems as they arise.
• Maintain work areas clean and safe.
• Support all facility Continuous Improvement and LEAN initiatives including, but not limited to:
  • Maintain 5-S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain) throughout shop floor and office areas.
  • Track and sustain all visual management tools such as, but not limited to: layered audits, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) boards, and any additional LEAN tools that are deemed necessary to provide direction, goals and status to the shop floor.
  • Encourage, support, and actively participate in Kaizen improvements and events throughout the facility, department, and area of responsibility.
• Other various duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Reno, NV will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Skills:

• Ability to stand on feet continuously during working shift with or without reasonable accommodation.
