Job summary

Broan-NuTone is seeking an assembler to join our manufacturing team. You will read drawings, assemble sheet metal parts, motors and electronics into sub-assemblies and final units, and visually inspect for fit and function.

You will also test electrical continuity, package units for shipping, and maintain a clean, safe workspace while contributing to daily meetings and improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• Ability to read assembly drawings, process sheets and standard work.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs and occasionally 50 lbs.
• Overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Fit, align, fasten, and package sheet metal parts, motors, electronics, molded parts into sub-assemblies and complete units.
• Test units for electrical continuity and functionality.
• Package units into corrugated containers with shipping filler and labels.
• Work from assembly drawings and standard work to perform assembly operations safely and efficiently.
• Use hand and air-powered tools, measuring instruments and gauges.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment and follow policies.
• Participate in daily workplace organization, SQDC discussions and continuous improvement.

Job Responsibilities

• Fit, align, fasten, and package sheet metal parts, motors, electronics, molded parts into sub-assemblies and complete units. Visually inspect for fit and function. Non-conformities may require disassembly and rework.
• Test units for electrical continuity and functionality.
• Package units into corrugated containers with shipping filler and identify with all applicable labels.
• Work from assembly drawings, process sheets and/or standard work to perform assembly operations in a consistent, safe, and efficient manner.
• Use required hand and air powered tools, measuring instruments and gauges.
• Maintain a clean & safe working environment, in line with company policies and procedures.
• Participate in daily workplace organization & meetings, stretching, SQDC discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Requires ability to work from assembly drawings, process sheets and standard work and may include ability to learn how to operate and make routine adjustments to various machines.
• Requires the ability to work daily and/or weekend overtime.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to safely lift up to 35 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
