Job Summary

Load and/or operate a variety of machines used to assemble products for shipment. Perform work in a team environment, including rotating job assignments during shifts. Comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards of conduct, especially relating to safe work practices.

Shift: TUESDAY-SATURDAY (7am-3pm)

Core Responsibilities

  • Load and/or operate machines such as spin welder, handle welder, swivel lid assembly machines, carton sealer, and lid snapper, following Work Instructions to meet quality and efficiency standards. Prepare skids of products for staging.
  • Read work orders accurately to ensure correct components are used. Report component errors to Assembly Team Leaders.
  • Capture order information by scanning labels and entering rejects into the system.
  • Perform quality checks and report failures.
  • Ensure orders are accurate and complete before shipping, perform packing duties.
  • Dispose of rejected materials properly.
  • Perform tasks per manufacturing standards.
  • Assist with training new TeamMates.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

General Conduct

  • Maintain respectful relationships with team members and leaders to promote teamwork.
  • Strive for continuous improvement to enhance performance, productivity, and reduce customer complaints.
  • Maintain excellent attendance.
  • Assist colleagues during downtime, machine changeovers, and cleaning.
  • Support company policies, including safety and quality standards.
  • Propose ideas for safety, quality, and process improvements.
  • Participate actively in departmental meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Good reading, comprehension, and communication skills.
  • Ability to prepare paperwork and understand machine operations.
  • Capable of multitasking and working independently.
  • Good manual dexterity and color discrimination.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Knowledge of company policies and procedures, safety orientation, printing and assembly procedures, and work instructions.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged standing or sitting.
  • Repetitive wrist/hand motions.
  • Frequent lifting up to 45 pounds.
