Job summary

UFP Site Built, LLC is seeking an Assembler I in Tennessee to fabricate component parts or assemble the finished product according to customer specifications. You will secure and maintain correct components and supplies required for the operation.

This position requires setting up the work area, fitting parts, using hand tools, and maintaining a safe, clean, and organized workspace. You will also maintain production records and participate in safety and CI programs.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
  • No minimum experience required; 6 months manufacturing/assembling preferred.
  • Basic math skills preferred and must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

  • Complete work area setup.
  • Assemble parts per instructions and quality standards.
  • Operate hand tools as needed to finish assembly.
  • Stack finished products and label/band if required.
  • Keep work area safe, clean, and organized; ensure equipment is safe.
  • Complete startup inspection checklists and report issues.
  • Maintain clean and orderly work environment.
  • Maintain production records as required.
  • Check materials and finished products for standard compliance.
  • Follow safety and quality procedures and participate in programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Assembler I is responsible for fabricating component parts or assembling the finished product according to the customer's specifications. Secures and maintains correct component parts and supplies required for the operation.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Completes work area setup
  • Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and in accordance with quality standards
  • Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process
  • Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures, and if required, may cover, label, and band components finished product
  • Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate
  • Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work environment
  • Maintains production records as required
  • Checks materials and finished products to ensure they are compliant with standards
  • Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards
  • Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High school diploma/GED preferred but not required
  • No minimum experience is required however, 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience is preferred
  • Working knowledge of basic math preferred "Must be at least 18 years of age"
