Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking an Assembler I to fabricate component parts or assemble finished products according to customer specifications. You will secure parts and supplies, ensure safety, and maintain clean work areas in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires attention to detail and adherence to quality standards; a high school diploma or GED is preferred, though not mandatory. Experience is not required, but up to six months in manufacturing is a plus, and basic math skills are helpful.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• No minimum experience required; 6 months of manufacturing/assembling experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Completes work area setup.
• Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and quality standards.
• Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process.
• Stacks completed products and may label and band components as needed.
• Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized; equipment is safe to operate.
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports problems.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
• Maintains production records as required.
• Checks materials and finished products for standards compliance.
• Performs duties per safety and quality procedures and participates in programs and meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Principle Duties And Responsibilities

• Completes work area setup
• Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and in accordance with quality standards
• Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process
• Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures, and if required, may cover, label, and band components finished product
• Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment
• Maintains production records as required
• Checks materials and finished products to ensure they are compliant with standards
• Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards
• Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications
