Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking an Assembler I in Texas to fabricate component parts and assemble finished products per customer specifications. You will set up the work area, fit parts, operate hand tools, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

The role includes maintaining records and participating in safety and continuous improvement programs. The position requires a high school diploma or GED (not strictly required) and at least 18 years old, with 6 months in manufacturing preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Completes work area setup.
• Fits parts together in accordance with instructions and quality standards.
• Operates hand tools to complete the assembly process.
• Stacks completed products per procedures and may label/band components.
• Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized; equipment is safe to operate.
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports problems.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
• Maintains production records as required.
• Checks materials and finished products for compliance with standards.
• Performs duties per safety and quality procedures and standards.
• Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Assembler I is responsible for fabricating component parts or assembling the finished product according to the customer's specifications. Secures and maintains correct component parts and supplies required for the operation.

Principle Duties And Responsibilities

• Completes work area setup
• Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and in accordance with quality standards
• Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process
• Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures, and if required, may cover, label, and band components finished product
• Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment
• Maintains production records as required
• Checks materials and finished products to ensure they are compliant with standards
• Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards
• Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required
• No minimum experience is required however, 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience is preferred
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred
• Must be at least 18 years of age
