Job summary

Georg-Fischer is seeking a manufacturing associate to safely load and unload machinery, assemble parts, and ensure quality and safety in a production environment. You will follow ISO procedures and work under supervision while contributing to a clean, organized workspace.

The role requires reading blueprints, using proper tooling, and maintaining consistent production standards. Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and adherence to safety protocols are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Safely load and unload machinery with proper tooling and products.
  • Assemble parts on line to manufacture items for customer fulfillment.

  • Follow work procedures as set forth by ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OSHAS 18001.
  • Read blueprints when required and set up tooling per supervisor directions.
  • Perform repetitive tasks with attention to safety and quality.

Summary:Safely load and unload machinery with proper tooling and products. Perform manual tasks such as package, crate, label, count, and sort products. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Required to understand and follow all company policies and proceduresEnsure that all guards and safety equipment have been installed and properly checkedRequired to meet or exceed production standardsRequired to maintain quality standards on all productsSafely load and unload machinery with the proper tooling and product as directed by team leader or supervisorMaintain good housekeeping practices throughout the departmentResponsible to maintain a safe working environment for all employeesRequires regular attendance per the schedule assigned by supervisorRequired to understand and follow all safety policies and proceduresRequired to understand and follow work procedures as set forth by all ISO documentationRead and interpret blueprints whenever required by operationSelect the proper tooling and process set-up as directed by team leader or supervisorSafely assemble parts on line to manufacture items for customer fullfullment. This may include lift, screw, push, pull, count, sort, crate, package, label itemsAdhere to ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 14001 Environmental, and OSHAS 18001 certification requirementsPerform other tasks as assignedRequired Skills/Abilities:A thorough understanding of the hazard communication programMust have a total understanding of the shop packets released to the shop floorKnowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within manufacturing environmentEducation and Experience:High school diploma or its equivalent, desiredWorking Conditions / Physical Requirements:Typical office/factory environment with possibility of exposure to heat in production areasMust be able to lift 50 lbs. in a safe mannerClarity of vision and the ability to focus on a fast and repetitious operation for extended period of timeExposure to heavy equipment or components needed to produce product (safety toed shoes required)Exposure to sparks, chips, and dust (eye protection required)Must be capable of maintaining a 40-hour workweek and working overtime as neededMust be able to perform repetitive motion.
