Job summary

Apex Systems is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician in Orange County, CA. The role involves assembling electro-mechanical hardware, soldering, testing, and performing quality inspections on production and prototype products used in aerospace and aviation tech.

Candidate will read engineering drawings, use hand tools and fixtures, and maintain strict attention to detail to meet safety and production goals. Onsite, full onsite work environment with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years electro-mechanical assembly and testing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience soldering to IPC-610 standards and performing rework using IPC-7711/7721 procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, assembly instructions, and manufacturing documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform electro-mechanical assembly on production and prototype hardware.
• Solder and inspect solder joints per IPC standards.
• Conduct basic functional testing including continuity, dielectric, and bonding tests.

Job Description

Apex Systems is currently hiring for an Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician with a global aerospace and aviation technology manufacturing client. This team supports the production of industry-leading in-flight entertainment, satellite connectivity, and antenna systems used by commercial airlines around the world. This role will support manufacturing operations by performing electro-mechanical assembly, soldering, testing, and quality inspections on production and prototype hardware.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of electro-mechanical assembly and testing experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience soldering to IPC-610 standards and performing rework using IPC-7711/7721 procedures
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, assembly instructions, and manufacturing documentation
• Experience using hand tools, calibrated tools, torque drivers, torque wrenches, and assembly fixtures
• Hands‑on experience assembling and disassembling mechanical and electrical assemblies
• Experience performing basic functional testing, including continuity, dielectric, and bonding tests
• Proficient computer skills for accessing drawings, work instructions, and production documentation
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality, safety, and meeting production goals
