Meso Scale Diagnostics LLC in Gaithersburg, MD is hiring for an entry-level position focused on daily production and assembly of micro titer plates for MSD instruments. You will follow SOPs in a GMP/ISO environment and support consumables production by preparing materials, labeling, and coordinating with the team.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing environments controlled by ERP/MRP systems is preferred.
• Experience in ISO or GMP regulated environments is preferred.
• Experience producing consumables for diagnostic instrumentation or medical devices is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble plate bottoms, tops and adhesive assemblies.
• Perform manual or automated assembly to support production.
• Maintain lot-to-lot consistency in plate assembly.
• Monitor inventory and equipment levels; support daily production tasks.
• Label plates and perform plasma treatments and testing as required.
• Collaborate with team and adapt to department needs.

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for the daily production and assembly of micro titer plates for use with MSD instruments in compliance with standardized operating procedures and practices in a GMP/ISO manufacturing environment. This is an entry level position that supports the manufacturing operations in producing and supplying the basis for all consumables production within the organization.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plate bottoms, top and adhesive assemblies
• Manual and/or automated assembly
• Maintain lot-to-lot consistency in plate assembly
• Maintain inventory levels for intradepartmental use
• Maintain operation levels for all equipment
• Standardization of equipment daily
• Preparation of materials
• Plate bottom cutting and testing (visual/electrical) for optimal performance
• Execute plate plasma treatments
• Execute plate (barcode) labeling
• Follow daily production task list to completion
• Team collaboration
• Specific duties may vary depending upon departmental requirements

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent

• Experience with manufacturing environments controlled by MRP and/or ERP systems for managing part and product inventory levels is preferred
• Experience working in a regulated ISO or GMP environment is preferred
• Experience producing consumable items for diagnostic instrumentation or medical devices is highly preferred
• A demonstrated level of consistency in performance and an aptitude for managing additional responsibility and accountability are required for next level consideration

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Demonstrate an aptitude for learning and adhering to standard operating procedures and practices
• Ability to complete daily production task lists within standard operating hours
• Demonstrated ability to work with automated equipment
• Excellent oral, written communication and interpersonal skills
• Effectively communicate issues/problems and results that impact timelines, accuracy and reliability of laboratory data
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and the quantitative background to advance this knowledge on the job is expected
• Ability to multi-task and work productively in a demanding manufacturing environment with changing priorities
• Use and development of interpersonal skills to support team collaboration is expected

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• This position requires the ability to communicate and exchange information, utilize equipment necessary to perform the job, and frequent lifting up to 50 lbs
• Up to 80% of the day may be spent at a work station and/or in the cleanroom

COMPENSATION SUMMARY

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $32,200 to $45,500. This salary range represents a general guideline as MSD considers other factors when presenting an offer of employment, such as scope and responsibilities of the position, external market factors, and the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, education and experience. Employees may qualify for a discretionary or non-discretionary bonus in addition to their base salary. These annual bonuses are intended to recognize individual performance and enable employees to benefit from the Company's overall success.
