Job summary

Freeman Enclosure Systems is seeking a dependable Assembler to join our manufacturing team in Batavia, Ohio. This hands-on role requires reading basic prints and following assembly instructions to install panels, insulation, and perforated sheet metal.

You will work in a 3-4 person team, use hand and power tools, measure materials, and maintain a clean, safe workstation in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Job Summary

Freeman Enclosure Systems is seeking a dependable and motivated Assembler to join our manufacturing team in Batavia, Ohio.

The Assembler will work as part of a 3-4-person production team to assemble and install panels, insulation, perforated sheet metal, and other components used in enclosure systems. This is a hands‑on position that requires the ability to use basic hand and power tools, accurately measure and cut materials, and follow basic prints and assembly instructions.

Candidates with experience in construction, drywall, framing, installation, or general assembly are encouraged to apply. Welding experience is not required but is considered a plus.

The ideal candidate will be reliable, safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with tools and materials in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
  • Install panels as part of the enclosure assembly process, ensuring proper alignment and secure attachment.
  • Measure, cut, and install Rockwool insulation into panels according to specifications.
  • Measure, cut, and install pink/batt insulation as required.
  • Use clamps to properly position and secure materials during assembly.
  • Operate impact drivers, drills, and other hand and power tools to install hardware and components.
  • Install and work with perforated sheet metal, ensuring accurate placement and proper finishing.
  • Drape and install plastic as required to protect components and work areas during the assembly process.
  • Measure and verify materials before cutting to minimize waste and ensure accuracy.
  • Follow basic prints, drawings, work orders, and assembly instructions.
  • Work closely with a 3-4-person team to complete assemblies safely, accurately, and on schedule.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure components are properly installed and securely fastened.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
  • Assist other departments or perform additional duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous experience in construction, drywall, framing, or general installation is highly preferred.
  • Previous assembly, manufacturing, or production experience is a plus.
  • No welding experience required. Welding experience is a plus.
  • Basic ability to read and understand prints, drawings, or assembly instructions.
  • Experience using hand and power tools is preferred.
