Job summary

The Kinetic Group is hiring assemblers at the Anoka location. You will operate production machines, assemble ammunition components, and package rounds for shipment. Training is available on or before the shift start, with safety rules strictly followed on a noisy manufacturing floor.

The role requires 18+ with a strong work ethic and the ability to work in a team of up to eight. Pay starts at $20.80/hour with shift differential, rising to $23.62 after 90 days and increases up to $26.49 with

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; strong organizational skills and work ethic.
  • Two-year technical degree in manufacturing is a plus; manufacturing experience preferred.

Today, The Kinetic Group is a part of the Ammo+ division of The Czechoslovak Group (CSG), which holds a diverse portfolio of companies in the defense, security, automotive, aerospace and rail industries.Federal Ammunition is seeking Assemblers who will work safely and maintain all quality standards while achieving production levels at or above the posted goal; thereby ensuring customers receive quality products when they want them at a competitive price.Experience a preview of what an Assembler at Federal Ammunition does by checking out the following Video: https://youtu.be/O79hBWG7bAgThis position reports to the Factory Operations Supervisor and is based out of our Anoka Location.Shift Information:Shift Q: 7pm-7am, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and every other Thursday(Training the first few weeks may be on another shift)Compensation: $20.80/hour plus applicable shift differential with first 90 day increase to $23.62 and additional increases every 90 days based on performance, up to $26.49What you’ll do:Operate production machines according to job break down tasks.Assemble and handle ammunition components and products.Fill out paperwork.Package loaded rounds.Assist team with changeovers.Safety - Follow all rules and procedures; keep area neat and orderly; report all existing or potential safety hazards/issues to leadership immediately. Utilize Safety Observation system.Environmental/hazardous waste - Understand and follow all procedures.Quality - Understand all product quality requirements and procedures, insure they are met. Notify adjuster or leadership of excessive defective levels. Understand how defects can impact final customers including Law Enforcement and Military.Production/Delivery - Achieve or exceed the posted production goals to ensure on-time delivery to internal and external customers.Teamwork - Be an effective team member.Continuous Improvement - Contribute your ideas through the Kaizen card process.Work the hours scheduled for the assigned shift plus overtime as needed.Follow 5S and clean up protocols.Perform other duties as assignedExperience you bring:High School Diploma or GED.18 years of age or older.Must have demonstrated strong organizational skills and strong work ethic.Must be able to work effectively within a team of up to 8 people.Must be able to work 12 hours on assigned shift.Good interpersonal and communication skillsMust be able to learn to use computers and/or precision measuring devices within 30 days.Ability to work independently without continual supervision.You might have:Experience working in a manufacturing environment (high volume preferred.)Two-year Technical Degree in Manufacturing.Physical Requirements: Standing and moving for about 90% of the time. Reaching, handling, fingering and manual dexterity to assemble and inspect. Occasional lifting, moving, pushing, and pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Occasional unilateral lifting up to 20 pounds. Near vision for detecting quality defects and far vision for operations of forklift or other mobile equipment. Must have normal color vision and normal depth perception capability. Climbing, stooping, bending, and crouching on a daily basis.Mental Requirements: High level of mental attentiveness for safety and to manipulate and visually inspect small parts. Reading and basic math comprehension to understand and interpret training guides, standard operating procedures and quality information (charts, graphs, etc.) and to complete production reports. Interpersonal communication skills to facilitate problem-solving and to function effectively as part of a work team. Flexibility to move between jobs and to handle many tasks simultaneously.Equipment Used: Operation of hand tools, forklift and other mobile equipment.Working Environment: Manufacturing floor environment is subject to exposure to noise, vibration, summer heat, moving objects and mechanical equipment hazards. Exposure to a wide variety of chemicals possible depending on assigned area. Work is often done with and around others as part of work teams and back-up from co-workers or supervisor is generally available.Work Environment:Employee work assignments may include tasks working with and/or exposure to potentially hazardous areas, including flammables and explosives.
