Job summary

Diamond America Corporation is seeking an experienced Assembler - Extruder for its Mogadore, OH facility. You will build and install extrusion components from blueprints, using precision tools and measurement instruments to ensure exact tolerances.

The role reports to the Operations Manager and requires attention to detail with a strong focus on safety and quality. This is a full-time on-site position with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 13 years of experience in mechanical assembly.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Experience in machine shop, manufacturing or extrusion environment preferred.
• High attention to detail and punctual attendance.

Responsibilities

• Assemble extruder components: screws, die heads, barrels, heating elements, gearboxes.
• Read blueprints to plan assembly sequences.
• Align and secure parts using hand tools, power tools and precision measuring instruments.
• Inspect finished assemblies for tolerances, alignment and functionality before shipment.
• Identify and report defects, fitment issues or design discrepancies to supervisor or engineering team.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow safety rules and procedures at all times.

Job Title: Assembler - Extruder

Employment Type: Full Time I On-Site

Location: Mogadore, OH

Position Summary

As an experienced Assembler, you’ll play a vital part in helping build extruders. The ideal candidate will assemble, fit and install mechanical components for extrusion machines. You will work from blueprints to ensure all parts meet precise engineering specifications and quality standards.

This role reports directly to the Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

• Assemble complex extruder machinery components, including screws, die heads, barrels, heating elements and gearboxes.
• Read and understand blueprints to plan assembly sequences.
• Align, fit and secure parts using hand tools, power tools and precision measuring instruments (e.g. micrometers, calipers).
• Inspect finished assemblies to ensure correct tolerances, alignment, and functionality before they are shipped to the customer.
• Identify and report part defects, fitment issues or design discrepancies to supervisor or engineering team.
• Ensure Quality is consistently good.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow safety rules and procedures at all times.

Educational & Technical Skills

• High school diploma or GED.
• 13 years of experience in mechanical assembly, preferably in a machine shop, manufacturing or extrusion environment.
• Ability to use precision tools to take accurate measurements.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Able to follow complicated instructions with precision.
• High attention to detail.
• Punctual consistent attendance.

Compensation Range

$ 20.00/hr - $25.00/hr USD

Salary is based on experience. On-the-job training will be provided.
