Job summary

i2Systems is seeking motivated, mechanically inclined individuals for entry-level manufacturing and assembly roles in Morris, CT. This position offers hands‑on training, learning multiple product lines, and a path to develop skills in mechanical assembly, electrical components, and production processes.

Prior experience is not required. You will join a production team and start with a defined product line, then expand to additional processes as you gain proficiency.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a four-year technical high school program or two-year postsecondary technical program preferred.
• Technical education in electronics, electrical, electromechanical, manufacturing, mechanical technology, machining, automotive, or related hands‑on field encouraged.
• Previous manufacturing or assembly experience is helpful but not required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new tools, equipment, and processes.
• Ability to read and follow basic written work instructions and diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently complete assigned assembly processes with high quality and consistency.
• Assemble components according to written and verbal instructions and procedures.
• Position and connect parts in the proper sequence and relationship.
• Operate tools, fixtures, and equipment used for fitting, fastening, testing, and assembly.
• Inspect completed work and identify potential quality issues.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Job Description

i2Systems is seeking motivated, mechanically inclined individuals interested in beginning a career in technical manufacturing and assembly. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates of a four-year technical high school program or a two-year postsecondary technical, trade, or vocational program who are looking to apply their hands‑on skills in a manufacturing environment.

Prior manufacturing experience is not required. We are looking for candidates with a strong technical foundation, mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.

In this role, you will perform hands‑on assembly of components by following written and verbal work instructions. Assemblers work as part of a production team, with each team member completing specific steps in the assembly process. You will begin by learning a position within a specific product line and, as your skills develop, receive training on additional assembly processes and product lines.

This position provides an opportunity to build practical manufacturing experience while developing skills in mechanical assembly, electrical components, tools, equipment, quality, and production processes.

• Ability to maintain a steady and consistent assembly pace while maintaining quality standards.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Ability to communicate, read, and understand basic instructions in English.
• Ability to multitask and move between different assembly processes as training progresses.
• Ability to sit or stand for the duration of an 8‑hour shift.
