Job Responsibilities

1. Uses a variety of hand/power tools to correctly assemble products.
2. Operates rigging and lifting devices safely.
3. Assembles assigned product parts in accordance with standard work instructions.
4. Reports problems with quality, equipment, and material to supervisors.
5. Completes documentation and works in a timely manner.
6. Works in both individual and team environments.
7. Maintains good housekeeping and clean work areas.
8. Acts, lives, and behaves according to TCF Core Values.
9. Additional duties may be assigned, depending on location and product line.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a high school diploma and up to 2 years of experience.
• Ability to read and understand shop orders, blueprints, safety rules, and work instructions in English.
• Basic math skills, including the ability to read a tape measure.
• Ability to use hand tools safely and properly.
• May be required to operate a forklift, overhead crane, and electric pallet jack, depending on department.

Certifications and Training

• Company-provided certifications and training such as JSA completion, forklift operations, PPE usage, crane training, hazard awareness, lift table operations, and rigging safety.
• Understanding of SQDE Metrics, LDMS, Issue boards, and 5S.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

• Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds, with continuous lifting/moving of 10-25 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, handle, reach, stoop, kneel, and work in limited spaces.
• Specific vision abilities required include close, color, distance, peripheral, and depth perception.

Work Environment

Work involves exposure to moving mechanical parts, extreme heat, high places, fumes, airborne particles, caustic chemicals, and loud noise levels.

Safety

Adherence to safety and health rules and policies is mandatory, with a focus on safe judgment and conduct.
