Job summary

Onin Staffing is seeking a Pump Assembler in Illinois to join a fast-paced manufacturing team. You will assemble pump components, read blueprints, and verify tolerances using hand tools and fixtures.

The role requires attention to detail, safety, and the ability to use ERP tools, including SAP, to document production and inventory. Experience in material handling and forklift operation preferred. Weekly pay and a comprehensive benefits package are included.

Qualifications

• Follow standard work instructions and safety requirements.

• Support production flow by ensuring timely materials and assemblies.

Overview:

Pump Assembler

• Assemble pump components using hand tools and fixtures
• Fit and adjust parts to specified tolerances to ensure proper function and quality
• Operate and adjust test equipment to verify performance and quality requirements
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and assembly instructions
• Identify defects or nonconformances and elevate as required
• Review product and inventory documentation within a computer system
• Confirm production quantities in SAP

Skills and Experience:

• Follow standard work instructions, procedures, and safety requirements
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure part number, quantity, and product accuracy
• Support production flow by ensuring materials, components, and assemblies are completed accurately and ontime
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement activities (e.g., 5 Whys)
• Use company systems and tools to perform work accurately and efficiently
• Actively uphold safety standards and report unsafe conditions or practices
• Perform other related duties as assigned based on operational needs
• Experience in manufacturing, assembly, and material handling, including inventory management and parts picking.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and basic computer applications; ability to learn SAP and inventory platforms (SAP experience is a plus).
• Hands-on experience operating fork trucks and working safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
