Modine Manufacturing Company in Natural Bridge, VA is seeking an Assembly Technician for the 3rd shift (10 PM–6 AM) to assemble copper and metal components using brazing techniques for cooling systems. Starting pay is $24.23/hour, rising to $26.23/hour after 9 months, with shift differentials and comprehensive benefits.

The role requires reading blueprints and wiring diagrams, using power and hand tools, and adhering to safety and quality standards while meeting production schedules.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Production experience in make-to-order assembly preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret prints, wiring diagrams, assembly checks and CAD models in order to meet production specifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble units using manual and powered tools per customer specifications.
• Braze refrigeration and water circuits per print requirements.
• High voltage, 3-phase wiring of electrical system.
• Measure, cut, fit, and insulate water piping assembly.
• Read blueprints, work instructions, and wiring diagrams to build or modify units.
• Ensure completion of quality and production checklists and processes.
• Use Windows-based and CAD platforms to access and enter information; keep workspace neat and orderly.
• Operate overhead hoists and forklifts as required.

Position Description

An Assembler Technician is responsible for utilizing prints, work instructions and wiring diagrams in order to assemble product on the production line. This position will be responsible for assembling and joining copper and other metal components using brazing techniques to ensure the integrity and efficiency of our cooling systems. This may include the use of power tools, hand tools, overhead hoists and fixtures to complete assembly and transport material to and from the work station. Chiller Assembly Technicians are responsible for adhering to all safety and quality requirements while meeting production schedule demands. The Chiller Assembly Technician reports to the Production Supervisor.

Hours: 3rd Shift: 10PM-6AM

Pay: Starting Rate is $24.23/hour after 9 months the pay rate will increase to $26.23

Key Responsibilities

• Using various manual and powered hand tools to assemble units according to customer specifications.
• Perform brazing for refrigeration and watercircuitper print requirements.
• Perform high voltage, 3-phase wiring of electrical system.

Required Education & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Production experience in a make-to-order assembly role is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret prints, wiring diagrams, assembly checks and CAD modelsin order tomeet production specifications preferred.
