Job summary

Metalcraft of Mayville, Inc. is seeking 3rd Shift Assemblers to assemble components and subassemblies for our products, reporting to the Shift Supervisor. You will prepare, fit, and verify parts to meet specifications while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

The role offers a $1000 signing bonus, on-the-job training, and advancement opportunities within a competitive, air-conditioned facility. The 3rd shift runs 10pm–6am (Sun–Thu) with benefits including paid holidays and vacation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Experience with light electrical or heavy equipment assembly is preferred.
• Exposure to Lean manufacturing environments is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Teamwork and coordination with other departments required.
• Good finger and hand dexterity.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work by studying instructions, blueprints, and parts lists.
• Position parts and subassemblies using templates and measurements.
• Assemble components and verify correct fit and connections.
• Measure completed components to verify specifications.
• Resolve dimensional issues and communicate needs to supervisor.
• Maintain equipment with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Keep a safe, clean work area and follow safety rules.
• Manage supplies inventory and place orders as needed.
• Document production and quality actions in forms.
• Contribute to team results and support other duties as assigned.

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, Assemblers are responsible for producing components by assembling parts and subassemblies for products.

3rd Shift Hours = 10pm - 6am (Sunday - Thursday)

Responsibilities

• Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
• Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
• Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies
• Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
• Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
• Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
• Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
• Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working within a highly technical environment.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Previous experience with light electrical assembly and/or heavy equipment assembly.
• Exposure to a Lean manufacturing environment.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to efficiently work in a team and coordinate work with other departments.
• Aptitude to take orders and execute the same efficiently.
• High school degree, diploma or a GED equivalent qualification from is accredited institution.
• Demonstrated detail orientation, self motivation skills and ability to multi-task.
• Good finger and hand dexterity.
