Job summary

OSI Systems, Inc. is seeking a second shift Assembler in Richardson, TX. The role includes electronic and mechanical production assembly, wiring, soldering, and equipment setup to meet quality standards.

You will work 2:30pm–1:00am, with occasional extended hours and Saturdays on a 4/10 holiday schedule; pay is $25.00–$29.00 per hour plus a 10% shift differential, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years related wiring assembly experience.
  • Experience with electromechanical panel wiring and PLCs.
  • Ability to follow technical drawings and assembly instructions.
  • Experience wiring cabinets and routing wires.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electronic or mechanical assembly tasks to high quality standards.
  • Solder, assemble, route and secure wiring into subassemblies.
  • Work with hand tools and specialty tools as required.
  • Cross-train as back-up in other areas of manufacturing.

Overview

Continental Electronics Corporation is a leading provider of RF technologies and innovative solutions with 80 years of proven performance. The primary function of the Assembler is to provide a variety of electronic and mechanical assembly tasks, eager to learn and grow as a versatile assembler. You will be using general tools such as soldering irons, cutters, wrenches, luggers, component bending tools, power tools and screwdrivers, vacuum equipment, heat guns, tie wrap guns, crimpers, crimping machines and possibly others.

This role is for our second shift team: Monday – Thursday 2:30pm-1:00am (some extended hours may be required from time to time) & some Saturdays. On a 4/10 holiday schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of diverse electronic or mechanical production assembly tasks meeting with a consistent level of high skill, knowledge and versatility meeting high quality expectations
  • Solder, assemble, route and secure wiring/cables into subassemblies such as panels and cabinets
  • Work with hand tools and specialty tools as required
  • Perform rework resulting from drawing change notices
  • Cross-train as back-up in other areas of the manufacturing plant
  • Develop working knowledge of the production environment
  • Comply with manufacturing code of conduct
  • Prioritize safety, quality, accuracy, and reliability of work performed

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years related wiring assembly experience
  • Experience with electromechanical panel wiring, cabinet wiring, PLCs onto panel enclosures, wire routing
  • Use and operate various computer systems and applicable software (such as retrieving work instructions or manufacturing module in ERP system)
  • Ability to follow technical drawings and assembly instructions and processes to assemble cables to manufacturing and industry specifications

  • Familiarity and Certification of IPC 610 & 620 or J-Standards-001

Working Conditions

This position works in a production environment with the risk of injury so some safety equipment must be worn when working with equipment in the shop. Bending, lifting and pushing up to 100 pounds (with assistance) is required.

Pay may range from $25.00 to $29.00 hourly + 10% differential for second shift

The pay range above represents annual base salary only. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as your job level, geographic location, date of hire, experience, job-related knowledge and skills, and education in conjunction with market and business considerations.

Base salary is one component of your total rewards package. You may be eligible for long-term incentives, potential discretionary bonuses, and the ability to purchase company stock at a discounted rate through the Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP).
