Job summary

OSI Systems, Inc. is seeking a dedicated assembler for our second shift to perform electronic and mechanical assembly tasks.

You will solder, route, and secure wiring into panels and cabinets, using a range of tools while adhering to drawings and instructions. The role requires at least 2 years of wiring assembly experience, the ability to follow manufacturing processes, and a commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years related wiring assembly experience.
• Experience with electromechanical panel wiring and wiring into enclosures.
• Ability to follow technical drawings and manufacturing instructions.

Overview

The primary function of the Assembler is to provide a variety of electronic and mechanical assembly tasks, eager to learn and grow as a versatile assembler. You will be using general tools such as soldering irons, cutters, wrenches, luggers, component bending tools, power tools and screwdrivers, vacuum equipment, heat guns, tie wrap guns, crimpers, crimping machines and possibly others.

This role is for our second shift team: Monday – Thursday 2:30pm-1:00am (some extended hours may be required from time to time) & some Saturdays. On a 4/10 holiday schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of diverse electronic or mechanical production assembly tasks meeting with a consistent level of high skill, knowledge and versatility meeting high quality expectations
• Solder, assemble, route and secure wiring/cables into subassemblies such as panels and cabinets
• Work with hand tools and specialty tools as required
• Perform rework resulting from drawing change notices
• Cross-train as back-up in other areas of the manufacturing plant
• Develop working knowledge of the production environment
• Comply with manufacturing code of conduct
• Prioritize safety, quality, accuracy, and reliability of work performed

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years related wiring assembly experience
• Experience with electromechanical panel wiring, cabinet wiring, PLCs onto panel enclosures, wire routing
• Use and operate various computer systems and applicable software (such as retrieving work instructions or manufacturing module in ERP system)
• Ability to follow technical drawings and assembly instructions and processes to assemble cables to manufacturing and industry specifications

Desired Qualifications

• Familiarity and Certification of IPC 610 & 620 or J-Standards-001
• Awareness of Lean 6Sigma processes

Working Conditions

This position works in a production environment with the risk of injury so some safety equipment must be worn when working with equipment in the shop. Bending, lifting and pushing up to 100 pounds (with assistance) is required.

Pay may range from $25.00 to $29.00 hourly + 10% differential for second shift

Base salary is one component of your total rewards package.
