Job Summary:The Assembler - Valves 2nd Shift TEMP (2:00pm - 10:30pm) works under close supervision performing assigned assembly processes to manufacture Crane Aerospace & Electronics products in accordance with military standards, Food and Drug Administration standards, and/or other assembly standards using visual aids, verbal and/or written instructions.PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A 2ND SHIFT POSITION FROM 2:00pm - 10:30pm. Second shift openings are eligible for a 10% shift differentialEssential Functions:Perform assigned assembly tasks subassemblies, or completed assembliesPrepare components prior to assembly, clean components, mark, and inspect components,Test finished assembliesOperate assigned equipment and machinery (i.e.-Die Attach Machine, Wire Bonder, X-Ray machinesObserve proper health and safety procedures in handling hazardous chemicalsIdentify and report to lead or supervisor any difficulty which would affect the correctness and quality of the work in processParticipate in cleaning of area and machinery and take part in team meetings for improvementPractice safe work habits as established by OSHA and Crane policy;Cross-train to work on at least one process within the cellComplete job-related company training coursesSupport Crane Business System (CBS) initiatives including 5S, Standard Work, and other initiatives as they ariseFlexible and willing to work overtime if necessaryAny other task assigned by supervisor or managementOperation of a Microscope (Can be up to 8 hours a day)Non-Essential Functions:Understand and/or participate with internal/external auditsMay be required to repair/rework defective or returned assembliesMinimum Qualifications:Experience: 1-5+ years of Small Component Assembly experience in a manufacturing environmentKnowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods knowledgeSkills: Strong verbal and written communication; Proficiency in reading comprehension (understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents) of the English language; Basic computer skills (understanding of basic software)Abilities: Accurate color vision, near vision, and depth perception and other vision capabilities required; Manipulative skills, including finger and manual dexterity; Adept hand eye coordination and arm-hand steadinessAbility to thoroughly interpret production or engineering prints, production planning information and assembly aids such as illustrations and wiring diagramsAbility to work well in a moderate to high paced work environment in a high-volume settingEducation/Certification: High School diploma or equivalentPreferred Qualifications:IPC Soldering CertificationEligibility Requirement:This position requires access to controlled data or information and therefore only US persons will be considered. Some roles maybe eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs.Second shift openings are eligible for a 10% shift differential.
