Job summary

6AM City, LLC is seeking an Assembler on 2nd shift in SHIPPENSBURG, PA to build and solder PC boards and small electronic circuits using hand tools, microscopes, and computer-operated quality systems. You will follow schematics and drawings to complete assemblies and perform detailed inspections to ensure boards meet customer specifications and quality standards.

This Contract to Hire role pays $18.00 per hour and is onsite in a climate-controlled shop focused on precision electronics and lean

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience assembling electrical or electronic components, including PC boards and small circuit boards.
  • Proficiency with soldering techniques, including fine soldering work performed under a microscope.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for electronic assemblies.
  • Strong attention to detail when assembling and inspecting boards to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Experience using computer-operated quality systems to support inspection and documentation.
  • Basic knowledge of quality inspection processes within an electronics or manufacturing environment.

Job Title: Assembler – 2nd Shift Job Description

The Assembler on 2nd shift will build and solder PC boards and small electronic circuit boards using hand tools, microscopes, and computer-operated quality systems. This role follows schematics and drawings to complete assemblies and performs detailed inspections to ensure all boards meet customer specifications and quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble PC boards and small electronic circuit boards using hand tools and established procedures.
  • Perform precision soldering of components under a microscope onto circuit boards.
  • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and drawings to determine assembly requirements and component placement.
  • Inspect solder joints, board layout, and overall assembly to verify compliance with customer specifications and internal quality standards.
  • Use computer-operated quality systems to document, track, and verify product quality and test results.
  • Collaborate with the test operator and AOI operator to ensure smooth workflow and accurate inspection of boards.
  • Follow lean manufacturing practices to maintain an organized, efficient, and safe work area.
  • Complete tasks that involve both sitting and standing throughout the shift, adjusting work style as needed for different assembly and inspection activities.
  • Adhere to all manufacturing, safety, and quality procedures during assembly and inspection operations.
Essential Skills

  • Ability to perform tasks that require both sitting and standing without frequent heavy lifting.

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
