Job summary

Allegion's Steelcraft facility in Cincinnati is hiring for a 2nd shift production role. You will perform production work to assist machine operators, move materials, and support manufacturing operations.

Prior manufacturing experience is preferred, and training will be provided to help you grow. This role offers competitive pay, medical/dental insurance, a 401(k) with company match, tuition assistance, paid holidays and vacation, and other benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand for extended periods and maintain balance.
• Ability to lift 25–50 lbs and transport materials.
• Good depth perception and color vision.

Responsibilities

• Perform production work as directed to assist Machine Operators with setup and operation of machines.
• Handle and transport raw materials, parts, supplies, tools, fixtures, dies and trucks.
• Load/unload trucks, count, weigh, transport, and store materials.
• Position and load materials to conveyors, racks, and containers for processing equipment.
• Deliver materials and parts to manufacturing departments as directed.
• Follow standardized methods of work.

Reporting into one of our Value Streams, Frames or Doors, you will be responsible for performing a variety of duties, including manual work handling materials for our various manufacturing and service departments. What You Will Do :

• Perform production work as directed to assist Machine Operators set up and operate machines
• Handle and transport raw materials, parts, supplies, tools, fixtures, dies and trucks
• Work in all departments to load and unload trucks, count, weight, transport, and pile materials in storage areas
• Position and handle materials to load and unload conveyors, racks, containers, etc. for processing equipment
• Deliver materials and parts to manufacturing departments as directed
• Clean materials
• Follow standardized methods of work

What You Need to Succeed:

• You must have the ability to see well, including strong depth perception and the ability to distinguish between colors
• You will be required to continuously or near continuously stand and maintain your balance
• You will need to be able to frequently (4 or more hours per day): lift, carry (25-50 lbs.), stoop, twist, and reach (overhead and to the side)
• You need to be able to occasionally walk, push & pull heavy carts
• Climbing, kneeling, and crouching may also be required
