Job summary

Ichor Systems Inc. is seeking an assembler in Austin, TX to perform electronic and mechanical assembly, wiring, hand soldering, and cable harnessing. You will follow blueprints and set up equipment, while meeting tolerances and quality standards.

The role requires 1-2+ years of production experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and basic MS Word/Excel skills. Training and opportunities for growth are offered in a manufacturing environment.

Ichor Systems has an immediate opening for an Assembler, located in Austin Texas. This person performs a wide variety of electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical or measurement product assembly operations on product components, assemblies or sub-assemblies. Also determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering, cable harnessing, welding and fitting on assembly units. Along with making setups and adjustments, holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.

• Make minor setups of equipment in assigned area
• Review production data to identify potential areas of non-conformance
• May perform tests or quality checks on assembled units
• Interpret drawings and identify needed modification and improvements
• Work with direct supervision
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Skilled in the operation of a variety of assembly tools
• Visual acuity and manual dexterity
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Good MS Word, Excel and MRP skills
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Vocational or technical training preferred
• 1-2+ years production or related work experience required
