Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking an entry- to mid-level assembler in Loves Park, IL to contribute to failure analysis, set up and operate product equipment, and verify in-process data against specifications.

You will read and apply complex drawings and manuals, while following safety rules and documenting technical data in English. This role emphasizes adherence to work instructions and continuous improvement in assembly quality.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 1 year+ of experience with aerospace or similar assembly.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs.
  • Ability to use & understand mechanical / electrical measuring tools and equipment.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow assembly blueprints, work instructions, and component maintenance manuals.
  • Ability to read, interpret and document technical data in English.

Responsibilities

  • Work with and provide input to help in failure analysis working from assembly prints, assembly plans, test procedures, component maintenance manual, engineering change order or other controlled documents.

  • Ability and willingness to read, interpret and document technical data in English


Desired Characteristics


  • Solder certification

  • Minimum of 1 year+ of experience in electromechanical / electrical assembly

  • Ability to work independently with some assistance from senior operators.

  • Understand and use required systems for repair transactions and customer requirements.

  • Experience operating test lab equipment

  • Follow schematics to aid in troubleshooting

  • Ability to recognize problems and resolve in a timely manner

  • Must be able to set up and operate relevant test equipment


The pay for this position is $21.00/hr. This posting is expected to close on September 26th, 2026.
