Job summary

Johnson Controls in Lubbock, TX is hiring an Assembler for 1st shift. You will mount, align, and assemble components to build comfort units according to blueprints and specifications.

Responsibilities include following safety guidelines, reading blueprints or supervisor instructions, inspecting assemblies for quality, packaging finished units with manuals, and keeping a clean, organized workspace. Prior carpentry/construction experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Read and write English to follow instructions and safety protocols.
• Ability to read tape measures and work with precision.
• Good problem solving skills to identify and resolve issues on the line.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety guidelines and maintain a safe work environment.
• Read blueprints and follow verbal instructions from Supervisor.
• Mount, align, and assemble various parts and components to complete comfort units.
• Inspect assemblies for proper alignment, connections, and functionality.
• Package units with warranties and manuals; maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Coordinate with team to ensure smooth production flow and troubleshoot shortages.
